Comentarios: Simon la escribió como un mensaje apenas velado a Art Garfunkel, haciendo referencia en la primera estrofa a un viaje que Garfunkel hizo a México para actuar en la película Catch-22. Simon se quedó solo en Nueva York escribiendo canciones para Bridge over Troubled Water, de ahí los sentimientos de soledad de trasmite el tema. Simon se refiere a Garfunkel en la canción como "Tom", aludiendo a sus primeros días cuando se llamaban Tom & Jerry.
Las voces de fondo cuentan con Garfunkel y Simon grabados juntos en la cámara de eco de Columbia, al salir de ella se encontrarón a Bob Dylan que habia asistido a la grabación sin ellos saberlo.
